Co-Occurring Services

Gateway Recovery Center is aware that issues that you have in your life affect your recovery from substances. We also believe that people are holistic beings and our emotions, feelings and behaviors are all connected. It makes sense to deal with mental health issues while addressing chemical dependency issues.

For this reason, we have a dually licensed Mental Health Counselor/ Addictions Counselor on staff full time to aid in the recovery process by working with individuals on issues affecting their emotional/ mental health and working together with your Addictions Counselor and Case Manager to best meet your recovery needs.

Many people are reluctant to enlist in Mental Health Services because society often attaches a stigma to mental illness. The truth is that everyone can, at some point, benefit from mental health services.

While in treatment, it is a good time to address issues in your life that may be triggers for relapse. Together, we can work on issues of concern and help you to gather the tools that you need to cope with life's stresses.

We here at Gateway want you to be successful in your recovery. If you feel that you have issues that hinder your sobriety that you would like to address, or if you have ever been diagnosed with a mental illness, please ask your primary counselor for a referral to the Mental Health Counselor.
