Blue Thunder Lodge is the newest addition to services provided to the residents of Montana offered by Gateway Community Services.

Blue Thunder Lodge is a supported living facility located in Great Falls that is part of the Residential Treatment Expansion Consortium (RTEC) that has been funded by the Department of Health and Human Services as a result of a $2,000,000 per year funding increase for substance abuse treatment granted by the last legislature. This is the first time the legislature, with the leadership of the governor, has provided general fund money for the treatment of alcohol and drug related problems.

The RTEC project consists of 7 new 8-bed residential treatment facilities located across the state of Montana. Blue Thunder Lodge is one of 2 facilities that is specific to Native Americans.
